Barnhouse was founded in Munich 45 years ago and the world's first Krunchy was baked in the kitchen oven. This “original Krunchy” is still almost unchanged in our range today as Krunchy Honey.

As part of this small anniversary, we want to celebrate our very first Krunchy at a special price, remind you of our origins and make you happy - with this limited 375g retro edition, which features the original label from 1979 on the front.

Please note that the original label from 1979 with the list of ingredients from back then is on the front of the pack. At that time, the Krunchy still contained raisins. You can find the current list of ingredients under “Ingredients”.

Krunchy Mini Pancakes

Ingredients for about 12 pancakes:

200 g wheat flour

75 g Krunchy Honey

1 pinch of salt

1 packet baking powder

50 g powdered sugar

2 eggs

250 ml buttermilk

50 g butter

4 tsp vegetable oil

Blueberries, Greek yogurt, honey and Krunchy to serve.

How to make it:

  1. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and powdered sugar and make a well in the center.
  2. Add butter, egg yolks and milk to the well and beat until smooth.
  3. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter along with the Krunchy.
  4. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a non-stick pan. Pour in a small ladle of batter and let thePancake fry for 2 minutes. Turn it over and let it fry for another minute. Serve the pancakes with honey, yogurt and blueberries.
