A partnership at eye level: 63 organic farmers from the Demeter, Naturland, Bioland and Biokreis associations grow oats and spelt for Barnhouse in the region. This is about much more than just regionally produced cereals and fair prices for farmers.
It is a fantastic, constantly growing network with which we can advance and further develop many good things about organic farming together.
Our goal: No grain deserts, but living fields in which valuable flowering plants also have room. Fields where it hums and flies. Cultivation methods that increase soil quality and soil life and promote biodiversity. Seeds from organic breeding etc.
For this we all work closely together with heart and passion. We challenge each other and can learn a lot from each other.
“As a farmer, it’s great to know exactly for whom and what I grow my grain,” says organic farmer Hans Reichl. “And if it’s an organic pioneer like Barnhouse with first-class products, it gives me great pleasure.”
Currently we can produce 80% of our Krunchys with cereals from our farmers. The increase to 100% from harvest 2020 is already in progress. . .
